The reason behind the establishment of Nam Liong Global Innovation Center
In order to quickly respond to brand demands and the development of advanced materials, after several years of preparation, we finally officially unveiled the Nam Liong Global Innovation Center at the beginning of this year (2022), announcing a new era for the development of Nam Liong Global’s composite materials. At a time of rapid changes in technology and materials, global brands are constantly pursuing the positioning goals of high performance, composite and multiple functions. As a leading supplier of composite materials, if we stay in the old thinking and do not actively pursue breakthrough innovation, we will become farther and farther away from the market and will eventually be eliminated by the market. Therefore, when the Innovation Center was established, we decided to set up several material thermal analysis and functional group qualitative analysis equipment required in the polymer material development industry. With these material development tools, we are able to accelerate the material development as a first step to overcome the challenge of long development time required in the past.
Introduction of Nam Liong Global Innovation Center Equipment
Polymer chain structure, condensed state structure, mechanical state, thermal transition temperature, and reaction and change process under external conditions of polymer materials all have important impacts on the characteristics of polymer materials. Therefore, the selection and application of materials have a corresponding relationship with their performance. As a result, thermal analysis equipment is often used to study the relevance. Two thermal analysis equipment in the Innovation Center : DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter) and TGA (Thermogravimetry Analysis) were set up to strengthen the analysis and adjustment of material formulation. In addition, in order to speed up the classification of material types, we have also set up FTIR (Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) in the Innovation Center. The principle that molecules absorb light and cause vibration is used to analyze and identify substances. FTIR is widely used today in the field of polymer materials research and application.
Nam Liong Global Innovation Center has completed the set-up of basic thermal analysis and functional group testing equipment. In the future, in addition to assisting the business departments to conduct material analysis and testing more effectively, the Innovation Center will also focus more on advanced materials required by world-renowned brands. We hope to develop Nam Liong Global's new vision of green, sustainable and recycled materials through these sets of important R&D equipment.
