Combating Random Attacks: New Taipei Metro Implements Nam Liong Global’s Protective Gear to Enhance Emergency Response Capabilities
06 Jun, 2025In response to the occasional incidents of onboard violence and armed threats in Taiwan’s public transportation system, New Taipei Metro has recently upgraded its safety measures by introducing cut- and stab-resistant protective gear to enhance frontline emergency response and safety capabilities. The new initiative takes reference from JR West’s adoption of anti-stab umbrellas on trains since 2024, and has been localized to fit the specific operational needs of New Taipei Metro.
