Through the "Future Time Gate" exhibition, Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-Che reflects on the city’s economic growth and technological evolution while exploring the latest advancements in industry. This endeavor aims to enhance Taiwan’s prominence on the global stage, making Tainan a memorable point of pride. Tainan's Economic Development Bureau Director, Lin Rong-Chuan, noted that the exhibition features six main themes: Future of Transportation, Fashion Research Lab, Tech Life, Smart Comfort Living, Memory Dimension Corridor, and Product Showcase. Nam Liong Global was invited to participate in the Fashion Research Lab, where it showcases Tainan’s future-focused research and development achievements and visions.

Taiwan generates approximately 150,000 to 180,000 tons of waste oyster shells annually, which poses a significant environmental burden. Guided by its commitment to environmental protection, Nam Liong Global ingeniously repurposes this local waste, blending it with bio-based materials such as sugarcane, rubber trees, and non-edible plant oils. This approach led to the creation of BIO-II™, an eco-friendly neoprene material certified by the USDA. This material not only reduces reliance on petroleum but also effectively lowers environmental pollution. Nam Liong Global has partnered with Taiwan’s renowned wetsuit brand Aropec to develop comprehensive cold-resistant wetsuits, suited for a variety of water activities, both on and below the surface.

The co-organizers of this exhibition include local Tainan enterprises, such as Sampo Corporation, Nam Liong Group (Nam Liong Global), Hoyu Textile, Ho Min Textile, Apex Aviation, Hon-Tai Hydrogel, Airmate International, Formosa Optical, Syshin, Etron Electronics, and Chunghwa Telecom. These companies not only showcase impressive innovation capabilities but also demonstrate a deep commitment to the development of local culture and technology.

The "Tainan 400 Future Living - Future Time Gate" themed exhibition will officially open on October 26, 2024, launching with a grand event at the Tree Valley Life Science Museum that includes a tourism factory carnival and a local innovation showcase. People from all over the country are invited to enjoy the exhibition, browse the marketplace, participate in interactive experiences, collect stamps, and watch live performances. Special guests from the MOMO Kids Channel will join the festivities, along with 500 capsule prizes for attendees. Together, visitors will witness Tainan’s pride in its rising technological advancements and economic growth.
